I am a native Floridian and have lived in the Bay area all my life. I have fished the pristine waters of Pinellas County for over 35 years.
My dad got me hooked on fishing. My favorite memories growing up as a kid were the times my dad would wake my brothers and I up before the crack of dawn to catch the sunrise snook bite at Clearwater Pass.
My love for fishing has become my passion(my wife calls it an addiction) and over the years I have developed and honed my skills for not just catching fish, but tracking fish patterns, locating and catching bait, monitoring tides, watching the weather and wind to maximize fishing time on the water.
I got into kayak fishing after I got back from college and over the past 10 year, have fell in love with the kayak’s stealthy approach to stalking snook and reds in back water creeks, mangrove shorelines and lush grass flats.
But kayak fishing has even exploded to a whole new extreme level with near shore fishing for tarpon, kings and even keeper grouper off the swim buoys of our beautiful Pinellas County beaches.
The only thing I find more rewarding than catching fish is being able to pass on the skills and knowledge I have been blessed with to others, helping them catch the fish of a life time.
FISH ON!!
Hi Joe!! Long time no see or hear! Do you still do homeschool fishing trips? My boys are now 13 and 15! We’d love to go out soon. We may have a group of teens!!
